Allyssa is coming home Sunday! Wahoo! She is really doing well and has many things to process. She sent me some of her thoughts. Here are a couple:
" its not about where you are or what you are doing, its about following and trusting in God."
" I have also realized how powerful God is, and how powerful prayer is."
She has been working with children, that has been a very enjoyable experience for her. As a result of being at a college and a clinic, she has met many people for many races and cultures. The common denominator has been the well being of children. Allyssa has really been struck by the magnitude of sacrifice and service of people from other nations and cultures descending upon India to make the quality of life better for these orphans, playing with them, hugging them, and treating them for diseases. Truly amazing.
Needless to say, I am so proud of her! I am proud of her tenacity and determination. I am proud that she has maturity beyond her years. I am confident that her relationship with God is bigger than beliefs, she practices what she believes and it shows up in how she lives.
So, we have two more days left, then I turn into a hug and kiss machine.
