Hey, All Saints!

I am late in getting this out, I apologize. I do have a few things to share with you:

#1  Easter Sunday was incredible on many levels. It was good seeing many people I have never met before. It was fun having a house full of people! I thoroughly enjoyed the music, Jimmy and Rachel Nichols did such a great job. I am so proud of All Saint'ers, I noticed how every person was treated as a wonderful and precious gift from God and I am quite sure Jesus was made even more popular. 

#2 I am so proud of all the incredible volunteers at All Saints! We had so many people step up to serve every person that was in attendance. I am grateful for the incredible passion and attitude of our entire team. Thank you all so much!

#3 An update from our "one day's wage to feed the world" campaign. We are currently at $9808, our goal is $10k. I am so proud of our church, this is what makes a church "famous." They will know we follow Jesus by our love...in serving and giving. Thank you, All Saints!

#4 Let me introduce Warren Kinser, our most recent staff hire. Warren is coming on to be our associate pastor. He will over see our assimilation system and help with organizational management. Warren is a great guy who is very gifted. We are very fortunate to have him on board. Take some time to "Welcome Warren" this Sunday.

#5 This Sunday we will continue our look into I Corinthians 15. We are going to look at the apostle Paul and his amazing transformation. We can learn alot from Paul and what it means to become a Christ follower, also get some glimpses into what that might look like for you and me and our friends. I am really excited about teaching this Sunday.

#6 Don't forget to download the All Saints Church APP. At last check we had 522 launches and 416 downloads. The team from subsplash has spoiled us rotten. You can get it here

#7 I am so grateful and honored to pastor at All Saints Church. I truly believe we have what it takes to show Seattle how much Jesus loves this city. Let's pray, serve and give extravagantly to do whatever it takes to demonstrate the abundant life of Jesus. Our goal isn't to make All Saints better, our goal is to make Seattle better. Let's get to work!

Hey, All Saints

I have a few things I want to share with you this week.

1. This past Sunday was powerful in many ways. The music, the impact All Saints is having on Seattle (thank you, Marie Reynolds and the team that serves New Horizons), the response to the message...all of it was powerful! That stuff never gets old!

2. Easter gatherings this Sunday. We are gearing up for many guests this Sunday at both gatherings, 9:30 and 11. Please pray for those gatherings, please invite friends, please be expecting Jesus to do brand new things in the lives of everyone that walks through the doors. It's going to be exciting and life changing!

3. Good Friday gathering. We have a special gathering planned for Good Friday at 7pm. It will be a a time for meditation, prayer and communion. We also have a special time for children that night as well, contact sarah@believedoubtseek.org if you have any questions about the Children's Good Friday gathering. 

4. All Saints Church has an App! We are so excited about this. We have some amazing and generous people who designed and launched an App for All Saints that will work for Apple and Android. Go to the App store that supports your phone or tablet. Type in All Saints Church and go nuts! 

5. One Day to Feed the World update. I am so proud of All Saints Church, what a generous community! As of now, we have raised $8647.62 toward our gaol of $10k. If you want to give, go here.

A request

My friend, Kathi Goertzen has been dealing with a tumor at the base of her brain for more than 10 years. She has had multiple surgeries, multiple radiation treatments and many doctor visits. Recently, she was informed that her tumor is growing again and she will require another surgery. This time, it has complications that were not present previously.

Kathi is very strong and is someone who does not complain. I have never heard her complain or feel sorry for herself in the 8+ years I have known her and been with her before and after these many surgeries. I would ask all of you that pray to remember Kathi in your prayers. She will go into surgery next Wednesday and I told her I would mobilize the prayers of my church and many other believers to spend Wednesday praying for her and her family. She has an amazing family that is so supportive and strong for her. I know she will also appreciate her church family supporting her as well.

If you will be praying that day, please let me know via this blog, I will bring the news to her that you all are indeed holding her up in prayer. I believe prayer moves the hand of God and the prayers of the righteous are effective.

Seth, my son.

Today we are celebrating Seth's 16th birthday. It is a little surreal. I can remember vividly when the doctor told us 16 years ago that our "little" baby boy weighed in at 10 pounds! Looking at him the hospital nursery was hilarious. All of the other newborns looked like little bundles, but our boy looked like he had been there for a year! He was so big and already very special.

At 16, Sue and I couldn't be more proud. Not only is he a great student and fabulous basketball player, he is an outstanding young man. He is courteous, respectful, honest and humble. We are so proud of our "little buddy."

Game of the Week

My son's basketball team, Ballard Beavers, are playing tonight and tomorrow night. Tonight we play Lake Washington at Lake Washington, we tip at 8pm. Tomorrow night we play at Bellevue Community College against Mt. Ranier, we tip at 8:30pm The Seattle Times is doing a poll for the game of the week, we are trying to get enough votes to be the highlighted team. So....go here and vote! We need as many of you as possible to vote before 4pm. Let's make a surge and overtake O'Dea and Mercer Island!

Varsity practice jersey

We have begun the Varsity hoops experience! So proud of Seth, so excited for games! First home game at Ballard High School vs Garfield High at 7:30 on December 15th! Come on out and cheer for Ballard!

Saturdays are for Hoops!

Seth has fall ball every Saturday up until the season starts in November. This is so much fun to watch him play varsity and really compete. It is going to be so much fun this season. I am so proud of him.
